Lancaster University - Linguistics Dept Video
The main goal of this video was to inspire prospective students—especially those from around the world—to join the Department of Linguistics and English Language (LAEL) at Lancaster University. It’s designed to highlight what makes the department exceptional, from its world-class ranking in linguistics and state-of-the-art facilities to its supportive, collaborative atmosphere and rich, intercultural community. By showcasing these strengths in an engaging way, the video hopes to attract more students and boost the reputation of both LAEL and Lancaster University.
As the illustrator, I played a central role in translating the video’s vision into compelling visuals that effectively communicated its core themes and messages. My work was integral to ensuring the video not only looked polished and professional but also resonated with its intended audience. Through my work, I helped create a compelling and memorable video that resonated with its target audience.
Communyco Animated Explainer Video
Communyco wanted an explainer video to effectively communicate their value proposition in a clear, engaging, and visually appealing way, resembling Headspace with its use of funky, relatable characters. The goal was to highlight what made them unique, and showcase the benefits of the services to drive better understanding and encourage action. This video became a key asset for our marketing efforts, helping us boost visibility, improve SEO, and increase conversions across platforms like social media, our website, and email campaigns.
I was the lead designer on this project, concepting and illustrating all the characters/visual assets for the explainer video, making sure they matched the fun, Headspace-inspired vibe we were going for. I created a bunch of funky characters and playful scenes that made the ideas easy to understand and engaging. I brought everything together into a cohesive style that told the story visually and really connected with the audience. It was great to see how the visuals added so much personality and helped the video stand out.
PCS Software Animated Explainer Video
PCS Software focuses on cloud-based Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for shippers, carriers, and brokers, and wanted a video to convey the benefits they offer, such as efficiency, innovation, and simplicity. They wanted clean, professional visuals with a touch of approachability—something that aligns with our tech-savvy audience but isn’t overly corporate. These assets will be used in an explainer video, so they should be versatile and easily adaptable for animation. Think bold, dynamic, and visually clear enough to make complex concepts feel straightforward.
I illustrated the PCS Software storyboard by simplifying a complex idea into bold, clear graphics that align with the brand guidelines. Using strong contrasts and clean compositions, I ensured the visuals were impactful, consistent, and easy to understand.
PCS Software Animated Demo Video
I was given the task of creating an explainer video for Honeycomb Credit to simplify and showcase their crowdfunding platform for small business loans. The video was to explain how the platform works, highlight its benefits for businesses and investors, and build trust and credibility.
I used engaging visuals and storytelling to make the concept easy to understand and resonate with the target audience. Following Honeycomb Credit’s brand guidelines, I incorporated authentic imagery of real people and businesses the platform has helped. This approach added a personal and relatable touch, showcasing the tangible impact of the service and reinforcing trust and credibility.
Humanitru Explainer Video
Humanitru sought to create an engaging explainer video that clearly and concisely communicates the mission, values, and impact to a broad audience, including potential donors, volunteers, and the general public. They aimed for an inspiring and uplifting style with a hopeful and optimistic tone with a clear call to action. The video was used across multiple platforms, including our website, social media channels, and fundraising campaigns.
Stylopay Animated Demo Video
The storyboard had to clearly communicate how Stylopay's innovative payment solutions platform works and the key benefits it offers to businesses and consumers. Following Stylopay's brand guidelines to maintain consistency in tone and visuals, incorporating modern, tech-forward graphics and relatable scenarios.
I decided that a text on screen video was the direction to take this as it, ensured the video could be fully understood even without sound. This approach was highly successful because it made the content accessible to viewers in sound-off environments, such as social media feeds or public spaces. The concise, impactful text reinforced the core message, maintaining clarity and engagement regardless of how the video was consumed. This versatility significantly increased its reach and effectiveness.
